Strong City - Family & Friends Fall Fundraiser

Join our virtual fundraiser to learn how you can help ensure that 230+ families are able to enjoy a Thanksgiving meal this year.

Learn about Strong City's impact in New Orleans, and how the 501(c)(3) nonprofit has developed since its founding in 2015 by Tulane alum Peter Gold. Hear about our current projects with our community partners and how these supports connect to our ultimate mission: Helping New Orleans youth combat cycles of poverty and violence. Poverty and violence are tightly correlated, and you can help make a change.

Right now, we are $3,150 away from our ultimate goal in order to ensure that 230 families get to enjoy the wonderful flavors of autumn together. When you donate $70 to our Thanksgiving Fundraiser, you sponsor a food insecure family's entire Thanksgiving meal. Currently, 103 out of our goal of 230 meals are paid for, leaving us with 27 meals left to fund.

Together, we can support New Orleans youth in rising above complex cycles of poverty and violence. Your contribution makes it possible for a food insecure child to enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday with their family, and to experience the warm spirit of the day without feeling the heavy stress that hunger carries with it.
